Delete your Travel Bause account
Travel Bause · operated by Copernicus AI LLC · updated September 1, 2026
You can erase your Travel Bause account yourself, from inside the app. This page explains how, and exactly what is removed and what is not.
How to delete your account
- In the app — open the menu, choose Membership (the page is titled Your plan), and scroll to Delete your account. Confirm, and the erasure runs immediately.
- On the web — the same control is at app.travelbause.com/account once you are signed in.
- By email — write to legal@travelbause.com from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes:
- Your Diary and your stated preferences
- Your trips, itineraries, notes and price alerts
- Your photographs and videos, including the stored files themselves, not just the records pointing at them
- Your verified captures and the locations recorded with them
- Your Vault entries — real name, travel document numbers and loyalty numbers
- Your public profile, posts, comments, likes, saves and direct messages
- Your notification subscriptions
- Your login itself
What is kept, and for how long
- Your numbered seat — a seat belongs to Travel Bause, not to the member holding it. Erasing your account releases your claim on it and returns the number to the pool. It is not destroyed, and it carries none of your data with it.
- Payment records — we are legally required to keep basic transaction and payment records to meet tax and accounting law, for up to 7 years. These are the records held by Stripe as our payment processor under their own legal obligation, and — if you took part in the Maven programme — the earnings, payouts and adjustments we recorded for you. They are limited to what the law requires, such as date, identifier, amount and tax, and are not used for any other purpose.
If you are a Maven with earnings
Because those payment records cannot be removed on request, an account carrying Maven earnings cannot be finished by the button alone. Start the deletion in the app and it will tell you so. Write to legal@travelbause.com and we will erase everything the law allows and tell you exactly what remains.
Deleting some of your data, without deleting your account
You do not have to erase the whole account to remove something. Every kind of content you add can be deleted on its own, from where it appears in the app:
- A Diary entry — open Diary, find the entry, and use Delete on it.
- A trip, or a single item within one — open Trips, choose the trip, and delete the trip or the individual day, place or note.
- A photograph or video — open it in the trip or album it belongs to and use Delete. The stored file is removed with the record, not just the thumbnail.
- A post, comment or Bause take — use Delete on the post in the Feed, or on your own comment or take.
- A Vault entry — open The Vault, unlock it with your password, and use the × beside any passport or loyalty number. Replace your TSA/KTN number by saving a new one over it.
- A saved list or collection — open Saved and delete the list or any item in it.
- Price and coverage alerts — open Alerts and remove any watch.
Or ask us. Write to legal@travelbause.com from the address on your account, naming what you want removed. We respond within 30 days.
Export first, if you want a copy. You can export your full record at any time from your account before deleting any of it.
Data deleted this way is removed outright — there is no additional retention period, and no hidden copy is kept. The only exception is the payment record described above, which the law requires us to hold for up to 7 years.
